A man whose career has been spent mostly with either small or tiny companies is the new president of Unisys Corp’s US Information Systems business unit: William Patton also takes the title senior vice-president reporting directly to Reto Braun, Unisys president and chief operating officer, and joined from server start-up Parallan Computers Inc where he was chairman and chief executive; before that he was chief executive of MAI Basic Four Inc, and before that held the same post at Cado Systems Corp and executive vice president of Ampex International, his last big company – he started out with 17 years at Honeywell Information Systems Inc.
