DIMA is negotiating final contract terms with Unisys over a four-year deal that would see the supplier centralize its helpdesk, email, and desktop support functions. The deal is expected to be finalized before the end of the year. Unisys beat a rival bid from Computer Sciences Corp.

Last week, DIMA agreed a three-year, AUD $200m ($150m) application development and systems integration contract with IBM after it was selected as preferred partner in June. IBM has already started working on the project, and has more than 150 staff deployed on the first major systems upgrade which is due in April 2007.
