UNISYS LAUNCHES INFOGUARD

By CBR Staff Writer

Unisys Corp thinks that its commercial customers for its A series mainframes are getting just as jumpy about security these days as the US Federal Government, and accordingly has launched the InfoGuard software security module which extends the security facilities already available on the A Series: InfoGuard has been submitted to the US National Computer Security Center for formal evaluation at the Class C2 level of security which Unisys reckons is secure enough for most commercial and government installations; set for delivery in July, InfoGuard costs $250 a month on an A2 to $700 a month on an A15.
