UNISYS EXPECTS UPGRADE CONTRACT FROM HERTZ

Unaffected by the upheavals in the airline reservations business is the Hertz car rental reservation system: Hertz is owned by United Airlines’ parent Allegis Corp, but Allegis wants to sell the business that formerly belonged to RCA Corp, and in the meantime, life has to go on, even if you are up for sale – and Unisys Corp is expecting a contract any day now to upgrade the Hertz 1100/80 system with a top-end four-processor 1100/94 complex.
