Unisys Corp has acquired Publishing Partners International, a privately-held advertising management software and services company, on undisclosed terms. Bedford, New Hampshire-based PPI has 40 staff and a client base of 75 newspaper customers, including USA Today and the Boston Herald. Unisys will add the business to its Unisys publishing system business, which currently covers editorial, electronic pagination and archiving systems. IT has 100 newspapers as its clients, including the New York Daily News, Philadelphia Enquirer and San Francisco Examiner in the US, the Sun, The Times and the News of the World in the UK, and La Stampa in Italy.
