Unisys Corp says it has integrated a financial application from Siebel Systems Inc with its line of banking software and will form an alliance with Customer Analytics Inc to integrate that company’s technology, consulting and training with the combined offering. The moves are design to enhance Unisys’ e-@ction Banking product line.
Unisys and Siebel will integrate the Unisys FBA Navigator software with the Siebel Finance product. FBA Navigator provides transaction management capabilities, while Siebel Finance is a web-based, front-office software package. CAI’s expertise, meanwhile, lies in helping clicks and mortar institutions adopt and sustain customer management practices that span both legacy and internet operations.
Unisys says the combined offering will enable financial institutions to implement browser-based, thin-client applications based on Microsoft Windows, reducing their initial host integration costs and total cost of ownership.
