The two companies intend to integrate a pre-configured template of GenuOne’s TraceGuard track and trace software into the Unisys’ Guardian Framework, which supports a mixed environment of RFID technologies, smart barcodes, covert inks and other tagging methods designed to secure supply chains. It is hoped that this will provide a template to act as an accelerator for healthcare manufacturers, wholesalers and pharmacies as they pursue patient safety and brand protection initiatives utilizing electronic track and trace capabilities.
