Uniplex Ltd, based in Hemel Hempstead, has announced the availability of Hewlett-Packard Co’s OpenMail X400 electronic mail server in non-Hewlett Unix environments and is to integrate OpenMail with its new family of products: the news follows a letter of agreement signed in February 1990, under which Uniplex agreed to do versions of and market Hewlett’s OpenMail to other Unix environments and Hewlett Packard agreed to market Uniplex worldwide; the additional environments now available – to be marketed under the name OpenMail ported by Uniplex – are for the IBM RS/6000, DEC Ultrix and Sequent PTX with others later in the year.
