UNIPALM SUCCUMBS TO ú4.50 A SHARE OFFER FROM UUNET

The buyer waiting in the wings to wrap up acquisition of Unipalm Group Plc turns out to be Fairfax, Virginia fellow Internet access provider and Microsoft Corp affiliate Uunet Technologies Inc, and the price is indeed ú4.50 a share. However it is in UUNet shares, which are traded only on Nasdaq, making them less attractive for British investors.
