As promised last month, Cambridge-based Unipalm Ltd’s XTech division – salvaged from the now-defunct Torch Technology in March, has released X11.4 X Window server software and an OSF/Motif developers kit for all Sun Microsystems Inc workstations. The server software is optimised so that it needs only 17Mb of disk and 4Mb of main memory, costs UKP500 and XTech claims it the fastest yet available.
