UNIDEN HAS ORDERS FOR CORDLESS TELEPHONES TO THE BUNDESPOST

By CBR Staff Writer

Uniden Co has orders totalling 150,000 over the next two years for cordless telephones from West Germany’s Bundespost, from the Austrian PTT, and from private communications firms in the two countries: the phones are mainly for the 900MHz band, standards for which were established in Germany, Austria and Switzerland only last year; Uniden reckons the 1988 European market for cordless phones will be in the region of 260,000 sets.
