UNGERMANN-BASS LAUNCHES NET/ONE DATA LINK BRIDGE IN UK

Ungermann-Bass yesterday launched in the UK the Net/One Data Link Bridge product it unveiled at last November’s Comdex ’86 exhibition in Las Vegas (CI No 571), which will be available in the second quarter of 1987, as well as the Universal Workstation range, which is available now at between UKP600 and UKP1,500: Data Link Bridge links Token Ring networks with Ethernets either locally or remotely as well as giving access to MAP protocols over Token Bus networks, although not as a virtual circuit, and the Universal Workstation series, which supports up to 96 concurrent sessions as a file server at the top end, with 3270, asynchronous, synchronous and Irma board support.
