Britain broadcaster UKTV has entered into a three-year agreement with BT Vision to offer both TV channels and VOD (video-on-demand) content.
The VOD services from UKTV will be available to BT Vision customers on a subscription and transactional basis.
Television content would include Really, Eden, Good Food and Home’s newly acquired programme catalogue, including James Martin’s Mediterranean and Choccywoccydoodah (Good Food), among others.
UKTV will start streaming its branded linear channels to BT Vision set-top boxes from late 2012.
Initial channels on the platform will be Watch, featuring Dynamo shows, such as Magician Impossible, Alcatraz and Grimm; Gold’s Fawlty Towers, The Royle Family and Blackadder and Alibi’s Body of Proof and Rizzoli & Isles.
UKTV CEO Darren Childs said he was delighted that BT Vision subscribers will soon benefit from the launch of UKTV’s branded channels, meaning great UKTV programming is available anytime and on demand.
