UK TELECOMS COMPANY NORWEB FOLLOWS BT PRICE CUT LEAD

UK telecommunication company Norweb Communications Ltd has slashed its national call rates by over 20% in response to British Telecommunications Plc’s recent price cuts. A five-minute weekday call from Manchester to London, a distance of 200 miles, will now cost 17.87 pence against British Telecom’s 24.23 pence. Norweb has also reduced its north west regional tariff by over 14% and its local rates by more than 18%. Its next move will involve cuts to international call rates.
