The Unisys name doesn’t conceal the fact that Burroughs comes out on top in the acquisition of Sperry, and former Sperry UK general manager David Crofts is not sticking around to see what happens. He has departed to become international director of the Plessey Company Plc. He succeeds Alan Jones, who became managing director of Plessey Electronic Systems in October.
