Two out of every five UK software companies are financially weak and need to take action to improve their position, according to analysts Plimsoll Publishing. While the weak firms may not be in imminent danger of going bust, they may need to take action like a financial restructuring or by repositioning themselves in the marketplace. The analysis shows that sales growth in the industry has improved from 14.9% a year ago to 15.5% today. Employees in the industry can have few grumbles as average salaries have risen from 26,200 pounds to 29,900 pounds over the past year while the average boardroom payout has grown from 50,000 pounds to 56,000 pounds.
