Ambitious Manchester-based UK consulting, recruitment and services company Lorien Plc has acquired Chatsfield Technologies Ltd, a systems integrator and software development company, for 750,000 pounds. Chatsfield, based in Hampshire, will form part of Lorien’s Information Solutions Division. Lorien has 500 employees and a revenue of 120m pounds, and has already acquired training and development company Professional Development Network earlier this year, for 2m pounds. At the end of last year it acquired two contract resources companies, Frost Berkely for 10m pounds, and Arena Resources for 4m pounds, and before that bought P-E International Ltd from struggling Cray Electronics Plc, the company which later changed its name to Anite Group Plc. Lorien says it plans to continue growing both organically and by acquisition.
