Hampshire’s deputy chief constable, Ian Readhead, voiced his reservations on the BBC’s Politics Show, saying that he did not want to live in a country with surveillance cameras on every street corner.

There are roughly 4.2 million CCTV cameras in the UK, which equates to one for every 14 people.
