This initial two-year extension has a minimum commitment of GBP6 million and includes an option to extend for a further year. The scope of the contract includes the potential to expand into supporting the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in modernization of the UK General Register Office (GRO).

Xansa became ONS’ IT transformation partner in April 2004. The partnership with Xansa has assisted ONS in developing software for the modernization of its statistical processes. Xansa has also assisted the ONS in transforming its IT skills, methods and processes, enabling cost base reductions and enhanced operational performance.

Working closely in joint delivery teams, the ONS and Xansa have adopted key elements of Xansa’s methodology, Method ABC, to create the ONS’ own methods framework.

Commenting on the extended deal, Alistair Cox, chief executive of Xansa, said, This extension is a great testament to the success of the partnership and is further evidence of our ability to support large transformation programs and deliver tangible benefits to our clients.
