Under the terms of the deal, T-Systems will provide IT and printing services to R&SA. The vendor will take over two print facilities in the UK, based in Liverpool and Bristol, and 63 R&SA staff will transfer over to T-Systems.
The contract is the latest to be awarded by R&SA, which has adopted a multi-vendor outsourcing strategy. In April, the company extended two big IT and network services contracts with incumbent suppliers IBM Global Services and Cable & Wireless. R&SA also has outsourcing relationships with The Innovation Group, Accenture, and CGI Group.
The contract represents T-Systems’ biggest win in the UK since February, when it bagged a 10-year deal with utilities company Centrica which some analysts estimated could be worth as much as $1bn. T-Systems is aiming to generate 30% of its annual revenue from outside Germany by 2010, double the current level.
