UK DNS REGISTER THIRD LARGEST IN THE WORLD

The UK now has the third largest number of registered domain names in the world. Nominet UK, the company that administers the .uk prefix, says that the database now has over 200,00 registered entries. The US has the most registered domain names with more than 2 million entries for the .com prefix, while Germany follows with 235,000 entries for .de. Nominet has been administrating domain names in the UK since the summer of 1996 and says that over 10,000 new registrations are made each made each month.
