UGS says its applications can transform the product lifecycle. NX provides a suite of integrated process automation tools which enable the capture and reuse of product and process knowledge. With Teamcenter, idea management and requirements planning are integrated into the digital lifecycle management, product development, and manufacturing process. This closes the gap between idea capture and comprehensive product lifecycle management (PLM).
The software will serve mechanical engineering, metallurgy and material sciences faculties as well as the Metallurgical Institute and Institute for Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
The application of this software in education will increase our students’ knowledge and expand economic development initiatives for regional industries, said Professor Sabahudin Ekinovic, rector of the University of Zenica.
Mike Robinson, director of northern and eastern Europe for UGS, commented, in the long term this partnership will provide appropriate technology skills to support regional manufacturers.
