Services and systems operation Tyler Corp is set to acquire Interactive Computer Design Inc to help it establish a services company to cater for local government. Lubbock, Texas-based Interactive, which is also referred to as Incode, provides management services and systems to the local government sector. Tyler will pay $1.25m and 250,000 of its shares to buy Incode, which will be combined with two other companies to help it build the new organization. Tyler anticipates the completion of the acquisition of Business Resource Corp and The Software Group Inc will coincide with that of Incode, all three expected to close in late January or early February. Tyler came to life in 1966, also operating in the automotive parts business and floats on the New York Stock Exchange, with shares trading at $5.5 when we went to press. The company reported a net losses of $959,000 in the six months to June 30, down from losses of $1.2m, on revenue down 13.6% at $49.5m.
