Tektronix Inc’s Beaverton, Oregon-based CAChe Scientific Inc subsidiary, developer of computer-aided chemistry products, has two new lines, Personal CAChe and CAChe GroupServer, for bench chemists: Personal CAChe is a series of applications for the Macintosh and comprises an intuitive input device for three-dimensional manipulation and visualisation, a molecule editor, structure optimisation, automated conformational analysis, electronic structure prediction and connection to commercial and custom molecular databases; CAChe GroupServer has MS-DOS client and IBM Corp RS/6000 server elements and supports high level reactivity modelling, transition state searching, frontier orbital docking, conformational analysis and electrostatic interaction visualisation; Personal CAChe and GroupServer will begin shipping on August 1, and cost from $3,950, while the CAChe WorkSystemranges from $13,500 to $50,000.
