Twitter’s co-founder Bizz Stone has launched an app to pose and answer questions through the use of photographs.
Jelly aims to harness the power of a person’s social network by asking questions shared via those networks, email and text.
Friends can then comment on the question in an attempt to answer it.
Stone not only co-created twitter, but also was one of the people behind the launch of Blogger, bought by Google in 2003.
The free Jelly app launched on iOS and Android this week, and Stone used a blogpost to explain how to use it on the firm’s website.
He wrote: "Say you’re walking along and you spot something unusual. You want to know what it is so you launch Jelly, take a picture, circle it with your finger, and type, ‘What’s this?’
"That query is submitted to some people in your network who also have Jelly. Jelly notifies you when you have answers.
"Jelly is designed to search the group mind of your social networks — and what goes around, comes around. You may find yourself answering questions as well as asking."
