Twitter has apologised for using the name of three bloggers, posting an image of fake tweets using real usernames to promote its new advertising platform.
Earlier this week, the micro-blogging site has promoted a new advertising platform on its blog with fake tweets attributed to three of its users.
Twitter said: "An earlier version of this blog post included an image with mock Tweets from real users of our platform. This was not OK. Once we became aware of this mistake we took it down immediately.
"We deeply apologise to the three users included in the earlier images," the company said.
