TUXEDO GETS REVAMPED INTERFACE, SECURITY AND EVENT BROKER

Novell Inc is offering version 6.1 of its Tuxedo transaction processing monitor with a new interface for configuring and managing applications, a publish-and-subscribe-based Event Broker communications system to create event-based triggers for applications, and enhanced security via user- and group-level access control lists. Developer prices go from $2,400. It is also offering a Tuxedo subset called NetWare Transactionlink integrated with NetWare Directory Services enabling NetWare users to access Tuxedo servers over TCP/IP or IPX/SPX. Prices start from $1,300.
