Turkcell launches iPhone 3G in Turkey

Turkey-based telecom operator Turkcell has launched Apple's iPhone 3G in Turkey.

According to Apple, its iPhone 3G combines all the features of iPhone plus built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services, and iPhone 2.0 software which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs various third party applications available through the Apple App Store.

Lale Develioglu, chief marketing officer of Turkcell, said: Turkcell was the first company to bring the mobile internet to Turkey and we have no doubt that the innovative and easy-to-use iPhone 3G will now help take mobile internet and multimedia experiences to new heights. As one of the top three operators in Europe, Turkcell is proud to offer this prestigious product to its customers.
