Tulip Computers UK Plc has made a number of price reductions across its personal computer range: top-end machines, including the 386/25 and tr 386/25 fileservers have been cut by as much as 10%; the company says that the reductions are possible since increased demand has made economies of scale possible; the 386sx with 40Mb of random access memory and a dual floppy is UKP2,330, down from UKP2,515; the 386/25 with 100Mb random access memory is UKP4,080, down from UKP4,515; the tr 386/25 with 100Mb random access memory is now UKP4,480, and the tr 486/25 with 600Mb random access memory is UKP9,280, reduced from UKP5,015 and UKP9,915 respectively; the Crawley, West Sussex-based company says that memory upgrades are reduced by around 20% with 2Mb and 4Mb at UKP400 and UKP790.
