In the EAI enterprise application integration space TSI International Software Ltd and Vitria Technology Inc are reckoned to have experienced the most upside license momentum during the first half of the year, according to industry insiders. IDC says there was $310m EAI license sales in 1998 mainly due to a surge towards the end of the year. Growth is expected to slow in 1999. TSI, which is tipped to grow faster than analysts’ estimates, says it only sees rival New Era of Networks Inc in about 15% of its prospect list. TSI is cutting the Windows 3.1 strings with the forthcoming Mercator 2.0 release; it’s a 32-bit development environment.
