TSD TO FORM SUBSIDIARIES IN US AND THE PHILLIPINES

Software company TSD Inc is to form subsidiaries in Los Angeles and the Philippines with a view to developing applications software for expatriate Japanese firms and also for their Japanese customers: the company has had a representative office in Los Angeles since March last year, and its new subsidiary, capitalised at $200,000, will start life with 10 staff, including a Japanese technical advisor who graduated from a US university; in the Philippines, TSD has teamed up with Paul Aquino, brother in-law of President Corazon – Cory – in an 80-20 joint venture which is currently looking for a Filipino president; TSD has already signed 13 Philippine software companies to programming contracts, and within five years sees 20% of its software development being done in that country; it also wants to establish a software development venture in the People’s Republic of China.
