TRW’s ODYSSEY READY TO GO AHEAD WITH RIVAL TO IRIDIUM SATELLITE

TRW Inc’s Odyssey Telecommunications International Inc is ready to go ahead with its rival system to the Iridium satellite network. The new company has signed a contract worth $2,280m with TRW Space & Electronics Group to build the Odyssey satellite global handheld telephone system. As well as TRW, founding shareholders in Odyssey include Teleglobe Inc, Vancouver, Canada.
