TRUE BLUE IBM MEMORY

By CBR Staff Writer

If you want to compete in the IBM plug-compatible market you need to be very wise in the ways of IBM, so it is that the two companies trying to carve out a business in the IBM 3090 add-on memory market, Cambex Corp and EMC Corp know only too well that if anything goes wrong with their customer’s machine, IBM will immediately blame their memory and refuse to touch the computer: we hear that they have therefore set up a hotline for their customers, so that if anything goes wrong, the customer calls and they race in with some True Blue IBM memory and whip out their own, so that by the time the IBM engineers arrive, everything appears kosher.
