Eastern Credit Union has purchased a biometric control system, including hardware and software, in a bid to increase security by biometrically controlling its strategic assets.

With the system, the company also hopes to increase its employees’ productivity while simultaneously making day to day work tasks more convenient to complete.

The system implemented at the financial cooperative includes US Biometrics’ PassQ, which biometrically manages computer passwords and network logon credentials; MemberQ, which biometrically controls specific software applications; and CentralQ, which allows the storage of credentials such as fingerprint profiles and employee information, and provides a mechanism for scheduling access based on authorization levels and time.
