TRIAX TO BUY MICROELECTRONICS DIVISION OF ALPHA INDUSTRIES

Alpha Industries Inc of Woburn, Massachusetts, has agreed to sell its Microelectronics Division to Triax Corp, a privately held company Westport, Connecticut: the division manufactures radio frequency electronic components in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, and has annual sales of $12m; the price was not given.
