Fareham, UK-based Cobweb’s recently launched Managed Antivirus Service uses Trend Micro’s InterScan VirusWall, eManager, OfficeScan, ServerProtect and ScanMail for Exchange and Lotus Notes products to provide email and content anti-virus and anti-spam filtering, as well as SMTP, HTTP, POP3 and IMAP4 scanning to protect against viruses.
Cobweb is also offering Tokyo, Japan-based Trend’s PC-cillin anti-virus software for home users and small businesses, while the two companies are planning the potential expansion of the partnership to cover remote virus filtering and remote desktop management.
