Bothell, Washington-based Traveling Software Inc says that WinConnect, its first Microsoft Windows-linking utility, is now shipping: it enables disk sharing between two computers within the Windows environment, and incorporates redirector technology that enables the drives on one computer to be available to a second; in addition to the redirector technology, WinConnect also includes File Enhancer, developed by hDC Computer Corp, which provides a pop-up interface for moving, copying and managing files; WinConnect runs as a MicroApp which means that it is instantly accessible from within any Windows program, and all MicroApps are available by clicking on the hDC icon displayed in any window; WinConnect comes with software on both 3.5 and 5.25 disks as well as a 25-foot serial cable for connecting two computers; WinConnect is shipping to US dealers and costs $100.
