According to Travelers, the new application was developed by Travelers National Accounts and Risk Management Information Services (RMIS). It will be accessible on any mobile device with a web browser, including the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones.

The company said that e-CARMA is a visual front-end to its suite of RMIS products, which allowed customers to report claims instantly, access documentation anywhere in claim process and review key information, such as adjuster’s case notes. e-CARMA offers a set of tools including customizable dashboards with efficient navigation that enhances users’ analytic capabilities.

In addition, e-CARMA also offers built-in occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) reporting and recordkeeping, and also provides links to risk control resources.

Matthew Carden, vice president of RMIS at Travelers, said: “The mobile e-CARMA platform will allow risk managers to get away from their desks and laptop computers without sacrificing their access to important, mission-critical data. Soon, risk management professionals will be able to see summarized information, detailed reports and individual claim files from the field on their handheld device.”
