San Jose, California-based Trace Inc says it is working with Sony Corp on marketing of the Trace LH-2600 high speed CD-ROM premastering and duplication system worldwide to the software and data distribution industries: the LH-2600 is based on Sony’s new double-speed CD write-once drive and ISO formatting software from Sony Electronic Publishing, and is designed to bring CD-ROM replication in-house; a full 63 minute 560Mb CD-ROM can be created in 37 minutes, or a full 74 minute 680Mb CD-ROM can be created in about 42 minutes; shipments of Trace’s LH-2600 CD-ROM Write-Once Duplicator begin in July; no price.
