TOUCH ADDS WORLDTALK LAN EDITION

Campbell, California-based Touch Communications Inc has extended its Worldtalk 400 line with Worldtalk LAN Edition. LAN Edition is aimed at local network electronic mail customers using one mail system and needing X400 messaging from a host based system to the outside world. LAN Edition supports one local network electronic mail gateway, with the option of Simple Message Transfer Protocol and X25. The product will initially be available for cc:Mail, MHS, Quick Mail and Microsoft Mail and will be licensed to support up to four servers. Each LAN Edition is a complete X400 message transfer agent, including the Worldtalk core and engine, software for the chosen gateway, Interactive Systems Corp Unix, the hardware including the Ethernet board and the specific cards required for the gateway server.
