Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, has unveiled the Toshiba mini NB305 netbook, which features new Intel Atom N450 processor, Windows 7 starter operating system and 1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM, upgradeable to 2GB.

The new mini netbook comes with 10.1-inch diagonal TruBrite LED backlit display, 250GB hard drive, which is supported by hard drive impact sensor and a USB port that enables users to charge consumer electronics devices though USB even when the unit is turned off or in sleep mode.

According to Toshiba, the new mini netbook, which weighs around 2.6 lbs, comes in two configurations and in three colour options Java Brown, Frost White and Royal Blue. The NB305-N310 features fusion finish in black onyx and a keyboard with black matte finish.

In addition, the NB305 netbook features 802.11b/g/n wireless and 10/100 ethernet, bluetooth V2.1, bulletin board, ReelTime, PC health monitor, memory card reader slot, and built-in webcam, speaker and microphone.

As the category continues to evolve, we’re pushing the envelope even further to deliver the next generation that again exceeds customer expectations with better performance, an even higher battery life rating and smarter features that enhance the mobile computing experience.”

The new mini NB305 netbook are expected to be available from January 12 with prices ranging from $349.99 to $399.99 MSRP.
