And Toshiba has decided to release the specifications of its J3100 laptop personal computer to the other members of the AX Japanese language IBM AT standard personal computer group, which it joined last year, but unlike Sanyo Co and Mitsubishi Electric Corp, Toshiba has no plans to release an AX standard machine, instead hoping that its move will result in development of converters to enable AX to run on the Toshiba series of IBM compatible machiness; production of J-3100s is currently running at 5,000 to 6,000 a month.
