Toshiba Engineering Co is to market the Artemis 7000 project management system from Lucas Industries Plc’s Metier Management Systems Ltd on its Unix workstations: Toshiba will offer a Japanese version to be known as PM 7000; the full suite of packages will be priced in the Japanese market at close to $30,000 and Toshiba Engineering is hoping to get 250 copies away over the next two years. n i pApple Computer Japan’s MacHandwriter Japanese handprint recognition system for the Macintosh, which becomes available this month, consists of a board, a cordless pen and software, and was developed by CIC Japan Inc, and will be sold through Apple outlets throughout Japan such as Canon Sales Inc; Apple is promising to come out with an English handwriting recognition program in due course.
