TOSHIBA PLANS MANUFACTURE OF 5,000 LAP-TOPS PER MONTH AT IRVINE PLANT

Toshiba Corp’s plans for manufacturing lap-top computers in Irvine, California (CI No 695), call for the plant to produce 5,000 T3100/20 lap-tops a month initially: Toshiba has been shipping lap-top computers to the US at a rate of 10,000 a month since the beginning of 1986.
