Toshiba already manufactures some products in China but only sells a small amount to the country’s population.
Toshiba moves into China
Toshiba is hoping to capitalize on the growing demand for household appliances in China by producing and selling washing machines and refrigerators independently in the country. The company hopes to start production in China around 2004, but is dependant on the country scrapping its regulations that only allow foreign companies to enter the market with Chinese partners.
