TOSHIBA, MITSUBISHI AND HITACHI TO INCREASE CHIP PRODUCTION

Growing demand for microprocessors and other logic circuits have encouraged three of the leading Japanese chipmakers to plan increased production this year: Toshiba, now teamed with Motorola, will raise output by 12.2%, Mitsubishi Electric by 2.3% and Hitachi by 1.3%.
