Toshiba launches new 3D notebook PC

Supports playback of 3D Blu-ray titles and 3D games

Toshiba has introduced new 3D notebook PC, which features Intel Core i7-740QM with 1.73GHz operating frequency, 15.6-inch wide LCD display with LED backlighting and a 120Hz scan rate.

According to Toshiba, the new Dynabook TX/98MBL employs WinDVD BD for Toshiba to play back content in the Blu-ray 3D format and Nvidia 3D Vision software and hardware for a rich 3D experience. It adopts the active shutter technology that lightens and darkens the LCD glasses at the same fast refresh rate of the 120Hz LCD, with an effective refresh rate for each eye of 60Hz.

The notebook is secured by integration or Nvidia’s new graphic processor, the Nvidia GeForce GTS 350M, and 1GB Video RAM dedicated to graphics processing. It also comes with a pair of wireless 3D active shutter glasses, adjustable nose pieces and USB controller / IR emitter.

In addition, the TX/98MBL features Playback of Blu-ray 3D titles, Blu-ray Disc Drive, 4GB memory, Selectable OS, card-type remote control, 640GB hard disk drive, pre-installed new version of Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 and comes with a combination of harman/kardon stereo speakers and Dolby Advanced Audio, Toshiba said.
