TOSHIBA INTRODUCES 64 MB SYNCHRONOUS DRAMS

Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc says samples of its 64-megabit Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (SDRAM) products are now available for order. The SDRAMS are available in configurations of 4mb x 16 bits, 8mb x 8 bits and 16mb x 4 bits, and speeds of 125 MHz, 100 MHz and 83 MHz. Prices for the samples are $88, $80 and $72 for the various speeds, respectively. Toshiba expects volume production of the SDRAMS to begin in the third quarter of this year.
