TOSHIBA HAS MPEG-2 DECODER FOR DIGITAL VIDEO DISK

Toshiba Corp in January starts sampling a chip that provides real-time decoding of digital video pictures compressed to the MPEG-2 standard for the agreed Digital Video Disk standard. Samples of the TC81201F will cost $100 and it will start making 100,000 a month from April.
