While Toshiba’s US arm was issuing a bland statement about assuring its American distributors and customers of its best attentions at all times, the parent company back in Japan was announcing that it was diverting all laptop computers destined for America to the European market following the US tariff impost; in the US, there is reckoned to be about a month’s supply of T1100 and T3100 laptops in the distribution channels; ComputerLand however reckons that it has between two and three months’ supply of Japanese laptops in hand for sale.
